The Palestinian and Arab platforms celebrated the courage of the Tunisian woman, Hala Al-Sharif, who raised the Palestinian flag in the face of the settlers during the march of Israeli flags in the Bab Al-Amoud area in occupied Jerusalem, which led to her arrest after abuse and the confiscation of the flag.
Tweeters demanded the freedom of Mrs. Hala, after her arrest, as the occupation court is expected to hold, today, Wednesday, a session to consider extending her detention.
Activists circulated a video clip documenting the occupation forces’ assault on the Tunisian activist after she raised the Palestinian flag, celebrating her heroic stance in which she defied the settlers’ regiments amid a heavy mobilization of the occupation forces.
Others recalled the most prominent heroic stances of the activist, Hala, as this is not the first time that she has faced the occupation forces and defended the city of Jerusalem, and it was not her first arrest experience, but rather the occupation arrested her in 2019, and kept her away for a whole month from the city of Jerusalem.
It is worth mentioning that Ms. Hala Al-Sharif is the wife of the late Othman Abu Gharbia, a central member of the Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah), and she lives in the city of Ramallah.
It is noteworthy that the attack of the occupation forces against those who raise the Palestinian flags was repeated in Jerusalem on Tuesday during the flag march, as the occupation did not allow any Palestinian to raise the flag and the fate of anyone who tried to raise it was abuse or arrest.
