Music is the language of peace
Muhammad Nabhan is a musical artist who plays the drums. His weapon is music. He believes that it is food for the soul, and its tones may heal their wounds and restore hope for them. He tells Al Jazeera Net, “As a father, I lived through difficult moments with my children during the war and saw the horror and fear in their eyes. A family video stopped me Al-Masry for several days and waited for the end of the war to be able to visit them with two friends. I listened to their stories that hurt my heart and upset me a lot. I told them about my work and they were very happy with it. I asked them to trust me to make them overcome the difficult moments they lived in, and from the first meeting I had acceptance between them, and a relationship of intimacy A love arose between us.
He continued, “I take the drums with me, not the entire device, because its voice is loud, and out of respect for the grief and consolation of this afflicted area, it is not permissible to play it. That is why I confined myself to teaching children with these drums, and I use some rubble to make light sounds that revive the spirit of children without harming their injured.”
He continued, “The children’s interaction with me was clear from the beginning, and they were waiting for my visit with great eagerness. I felt an improvement in the children’s psyche through their words and behavior with me. I was very shocked by what I heard from them. They lived an experience that exceeded their age by dozens of years, and that was clear on their features, bodies and thinking.”

His message to the world
Art is a message of peace and love, and a language that the world understands. This is what made Muhammad take his personal initiative with full force, asking the world to bring peace to the Palestinians because of the great damage that war causes to the psyche and dreams of the citizens in Gaza. This is not a simple matter for mother and father, whenever we start building ourselves, our dreams and ideas, a war comes that destroys everything.
witnesses
Batoul Al-Masry, 15, has great sadness in her eyes. She is an eyewitness to what happened to her family. She embraced her sister, the martyr Rahaf, and did not leave her, even though she was injured and bleeding. She told Al Jazeera Net, “Before breakfast we all sat down to work packing hay and my sister was helping me and all the members of the family.” The family is with us, suddenly we heard shelling and smoke rose covering the place, I felt pain in my feet and said this bombing is directed at us, I saw my sisters and cousins on the ground in pieces, and my brother took his last breath, my little sister was looking at me, I hugged her tightly and I never let her go, I went and my feet bled to cry neighbors, and then I lost consciousness and entered the operating room and met them while I was visiting their graves.”
A difficult experience that Batoul experienced, and painful scenes that crush the heart with sadness when hearing from her with her trembling voice, as if she was reliving the incident. Her interaction with Muhammad during the game was striking as if she was trying to forget what she lived through. She says, “I was very pleased with Muhammad’s initiative to help us overcome what we lived through during The war, I feel better and I start to forget the scene of the incident, when he ends his session with us, I try to remember the songs and melodies and sing them with myself at home, the children of the family gather around Muhammad and we wait for him to come to our house, we feel better and we will overcome what we lived with Muhammad’s help.”

Psychiatric treatment
Huda Al-Masry, 32, from the town of Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip, has 3 children whose behavior changed after seeing the scene of what she described as the genocide of their family during the war.
She tells Al Jazeera Net, “We all need psychiatrists in order to be treated from the calamities of the war that afflicted us, our children have become extremely violent, and they have tremendous kinetic energy that we cannot control, in addition to the state of fear of any sound next to them, if the door is closed loudly screaming, and when Something happened on the ground, they fled to hide anywhere, thinking that it was a missile, a state of terror that accompanies them all the time and they do not want to go out to the street as they used to think that Israel is targeting any child in the street.
The families of the children welcome Muhammad and his idea of trying to relieve their children in order to return to their previous behavior, and to abandon the behavior of violence and fear within them. Some children have a weak personality that tends to be lonely and screaming during the night, so families receive any activity that treats them from that.
This is what Huda emphasized during her speech, saying, “We have the right to live in safety and peace. We want to build the future of our children without fearing for their lives. We are afraid to have children so that we do not lose them in wars.”
