The expert on Israeli affairs, Mahmoud Mardawi, said that the battle of Saif al-Quds changed the scales on the ground and proved the failure of the occupation’s plans to deter, made him lose the initiative to launch a ground attack, and demonstrated his intelligence failure to know the strength of the resistance.
In his speech to an episode of “The Opposite Direction” program, he added that the resistance’s missiles that reached all the occupied lands were a surprise to the Israelis, in return for the occupation’s complete inability to destroy the resistance tunnels or assassinate its leaders, and he also failed to carry out any ground attack on sector, as it did in previous wars.
On the other hand, the writer and researcher Magdi Khalil saw that the talk about the demise of Israel is an exhausted and repeated talk since 1948 until now, stressing that Israel is the victorious party in all the battles it fought with the Arabs.
Khalil strongly rejected Hamas’ “claims” of victory in the recent war against Israel, stressing that since what he described as occupying the Gaza Strip in 2006, Hamas has succeeded in turning the sector into ruin and destruction, he said.
He did not hesitate to ridicule the effectiveness of Hamas’s rockets, pointing out that in the last war it fired more than 4,000 rockets, but only 13 Israelis were hit. Gaza and putting it back decades, which is what Israel most desires.
But Mardawi rejected all attempts to belittle the achievement of the resistance in the last battle, and considered that Netanyahu’s choice to remain silent after the start of the truce and the end of the battles is evidence of his loss, at a time when the leaders of the Palestinian resistance were talking loudly about what was achieved and revealing the secrets of the negotiations that took place to stop the missiles Resistance to targeting Israeli areas.
Mardawi did not deny the Israeli military superiority and the great international support that Israel enjoys from the largest countries in the world, but he stressed that the belief of the Palestinian people in their right and the Arab and Islamic popular support for them is what will achieve victory and end the occupation.
