A delegation from the Israeli National Security Council will arrive in Egypt today, Thursday, where it will hold talks in Cairo on a long-term truce with the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the Gaza Strip.
The official Israeli radio said that the delegation would discuss raising the level of representation in these discussions and developing them in the future.
Israeli media sources stated that the delegation would present to the Egyptian side new demands regarding the Israeli prisoners and missing persons held by Hamas. The delegation will also discuss a new mechanism for the entry of Qatari financial aid into the Gaza Strip.
A week ago, delegations of the Palestinian factions held meetings in Cairo to discuss the priorities of national action, activate partnership and strive to achieve reconciliation, after receiving an invitation from the Egyptian leadership.
