Israeli press sources said that an Israeli security delegation headed today, Tuesday, to Egypt for the second time within days.
The Israeli sources said that the meeting will be held in Sharm El-Sheikh, and the talks between the Egyptian and Israeli sides will address the issue of Israeli prisoners in the Gaza Strip.
The official Israeli Broadcasting Corporation confirmed that the delegation includes representatives from the Ministry of Intelligence and National Security, and other security agencies.
There was no comment from the Egyptian authorities regarding this visit.
And last week, an Israeli security delegation held a meeting with Egyptian officials in Cairo, and no details were released about what happened in the meeting.
In a related context, the authority indicated that the discussions will also address arrangements for the resumption of direct flights between the two countries.
Flights between Israel and Sinai were suspended, due to the Corona pandemic early last year.
Usually hundreds of thousands of Israeli tourists travel to Sinai, especially Sharm el-Sheikh.
Last March, the Israeli government reopened the Taba border crossing between Israel and Egypt.
