Hamas media spokesman Abdel Latif al-Qanou said that the detonators of the situation are still present with the Israeli occupation in Jerusalem, Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, Batn al-Hawa and al-Bustan neighborhood, in addition to the successive West Bank incidents and the permanent clash with settlers in many areas.
In a telephone interview on Al Jazeera Mubasher, he added that the occupation is still in a state of tension and that the tightening of the noose around the Gaza Strip is one of the repercussions of the Battle of Saif al-Quds.
He indicated that this requires the international community to put pressure on the occupation to stop provocations, whether in Jerusalem, Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, Batn al-Hawa, or other areas.
He
“Failure to exercise the necessary international pressures to curb the occupation and compel it to stop its practices will unfortunately explode the situation again, and the occupation must bear the consequences of this behaviour,” he added.
He continued, “Hamas and other resistance factions affirmed their rejection of any kind of Zionist blackmail, and that the enemy has no choice but to return to the procedures for lifting the siege on the Gaza Strip and stopping all forms of provocation it exercises against the Palestinian people.”
He concluded by saying that the resistance factions are ready for all options and to engage with the people to pressure the occupation by various popular means and tools, and there is a factional consensus that the occupation should pay the bill for the prisoner exchange deal and that no file can be linked to another.
The Palestinian resistance factions had called on the mediators to pressure the occupation to expedite lifting the siege on the Gaza Strip, ending the reconstruction file, and the need to stop the ongoing provocations in Jerusalem, Sheikh Jarrah and Batn al-Hawa.
The factions warned in a statement that they would not stand idly by in the face of the procrastination and procrastination in the reconstruction, and also called on the Palestinians in the West Bank, Jerusalem and the occupied interior to escalate the resistance in all its forms.
