On Friday evening, Israeli occupation forces stormed the Al Ubaid neighborhood in the village of Issawiya and the town of Al-Tur in the northeastern part of the Old City of Jerusalem, in the light of a vast campaign of arrests launched by the Israeli authorities in the occupied territories.
Activists posted on social media, videos and photos of moments of the intrusion, and one of the activists in Jerusalem said IOF arrested Palestinian Wassim Nayef Obaid at his home during the storming.

She added that violent clashes broke out in the city, during which young people attacked Israeli soldiers with fireworks.
Yesterday, dozens of Israeli peace supporters, as well as a number of Palestinian leaders in the occupied interior, and Palestinians from neighborhoods in the holy city demonstrated that Israel was threatening to evict its residents from their homes.
These demonstrators called for an end to the occupation and an end to Israel’s “policy of ethnic cleansing” in Sheikh Jarrah, Silwan and other parts of Jerusalem, and they raised banners calling for to the protection of Palestinians in the targeted neighborhoods.
The Israeli police are leading a massive campaign of arrests among Palestinians who participated in the protests against the violation of the sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the condemnation of the recent war on Gaza.
The Israeli police announced about 5 days ago that they had launched a campaign to “impose order and law enforcement”, to arrest those suspected of having committed what Israel considers as “riots”, while Palestinian rights activists accused them of launching a campaign of revenge against the Palestinians, especially inside the Green Line, because of their political positions.
