The Palestinian cause unites the Indonesians
This program comes after about two weeks of events that took place in the squares of many Indonesian cities, such as Jakarta, Sulu, Bandung, Tangerang, Surabaya, Banda Aceh, Bandar Lampung, Makassar, and others. Especially in light of the weak media coverage in Indonesia of what is happening in the Arab region, including Palestine, and the emergence of voices that tend to normalize with the Israeli occupation, and try to weaken the relationship between Indonesians and Jerusalem.
In this context, Bakhtiar Nasir, head of the Indonesian Coalition for Support of Jerusalem, says – in an interview with Al Jazeera – that the Palestinian issue united the positions of community organizations with the official position despite differences in local political affairs, stressing that the programs organized at the national level – with the participation of tens of organizations and hundreds of mosques In the presence of thousands – the attempts at normalization and the attempts to falsify the facts about what is happening to the Palestinians in the media and communication in Indonesia are weak.

Hidayat Noor Waheed added that the stance in support of the Indonesians in their struggle was reflected in the line of the constitution of Indonesia in 1945, as it established in his preamble the statement that every people has the right to independence and that all forms of occupation must be removed on the face of the earth, because it violates the principles of justice and peace, and that Indonesia will continue to seek Until there is a system based on peace and justice in the world.
He stated that the positions of Indonesian diplomacy over the past decades – including the historical position founding the Conference of the States of Asia and Africa in the 1950s – continued to reject the Israeli occupation and support the Palestinian people in determining their own destiny, and stressed the unification of the official position and the Indonesian people, including successive Indonesian presidents And their ministers, parliamentarians, community organizations and political parties.

The popular response to the calls for donation was remarkable, including the donation of “Trento”, a resident of Banyuwaungi Prefecture in southeast Java, where he sold his house worth about $ 43,000, and donated its value to the Palestinian people through the Indonesian Rapid Response Authority (ACT), specifically for well drilling projects and networks.
