Cairo – It seems that the spread of the hashtag #marital_rape on social networking sites in Egypt – against the background of a discussion about this phenomenon, according to the claim of some of those who raised it amid attempts to criminalize it – was not enough, as others benefited from it in a different way.
Some of the pioneers of social networking sites decided to exploit the “trend” of rape to promote factional demands, so the hashtag #job_rape appeared, which comic displays the problems of employees in the face of companies and managers, as well as the hashtag #school_rape, in which some students presented their concerns in the face of the educational system.

With the spread of the hashtag #marital_rape, a number of social media pioneers demanded to talk about more important issues, such as the difficulties that employees face in their work, and the domination of companies and managers over them, in the absence of opportunities for promotion and an increase in salary, which has become a distant dream.
And apparently in response to these desires, social networking sites witnessed the spread of the hashtag #job_rape, through which the pioneers presented – in a comic way – the most prominent crises of workers and employees with managers and companies.
The hashtag #school_rape also spread, in which students presented the most prominent problems they face in facing the educational system in Egypt, and its various elements.
However, some pioneers of social networking sites denounced the spread of hashtags in this way in Egypt, and questioned the motive behind opening the case of Tamim Younis’ divorced woman at this time, even though the issue has been over for more than a year, according to her words.
A number of activists justified the spread of such labels at the present time by the regime’s desire to distract the people from the issue of the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, with the approaching date of the second filling without any signs of resolving the crisis, and Egypt – apparently – retracting the idea of a military option.
Activists called on the pioneers of social networking sites not to pay attention to the hashtags launched by the regime these days, such as marital rape, the quarrel of Muhammad Ramadan, the testimony of Sheikh Yaqoub, and others, calling for a focus on the issue of the Renaissance Dam.
