Navigational data showed that the Emirati cargo ship “Naima” is traveling between the Emirates and several Yemeni ports, which are Mukalla, Mocha and Mayon Island.

A few days ago, an official source in the Saudi-led coalition denied the news of the presence of Emirati forces on the Yemeni islands of Socotra and Mayun, and explained that the equipment in Mayon belonged to the coalition leadership.

It quoted Yemeni government officials as saying that the UAE was behind the construction of this base, despite its announcement of the withdrawal of its forces from Yemen.
In addition to Mayon, the UAE is also accused of seeking to control the island of Socotra off the southern coast of Yemen.
On August 28, the American website “South Front” – which specializes in military and strategic research – stated that the UAE and Israel intend to establish military and intelligence facilities in the Socotra archipelago.
The UAE had announced the withdrawal of most of its forces from Yemen in 2019, but its influence there continues through southern fighters, which provided them with weapons and training.
