Today, Tuesday, the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received a written message from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, regarding relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen and develop them, in addition to the most prominent regional and international developments.
And the official Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported that Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry delivered the message while receiving him at the Emiri Diwan in Doha.
A statement by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said, “Minister Shoukry conveyed an invitation from the Egyptian president to the Emir of Qatar to visit Egypt at the earliest opportunity.”

On Sunday evening, Sameh Shoukry arrived in Doha on an official visit to enhance cooperation and participate in two meetings of Arab foreign ministers, to discuss the current Arab situation and the “Renaissance Dam” crisis.
The Egyptian-Qatari relations witnessed positive steps on the way back, after the signing of the “Al-Ula Declaration” last January in Saudi Arabia, which brought down the curtain on a crisis between Qatar on the one hand and Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain on the other hand.
On March 3, Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani made his first visit to Egypt since the reconciliation announcement, and on April 12, the Egyptian president received a phone call from the Emir of Qatar to congratulate the month of Ramadan.
