The players of the Palestinian football team sent a message to the Palestinian people and the world, especially Gaza, which has been subjected to Israeli aggression, and the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, whose residents are being displaced by the occupation authorities in occupied Jerusalem.
And the Palestinian Football Association published, through its official account on Facebook, a video clip, showing a number of players of the national team, which the union nicknamed “the guerrilla,” throwing the ball virtually between different Palestinian cities, and each of them writes on the sent ball the name of a historical era since the occupation of Palestine. The catastrophe of 1948 to this day.
The video included scenes from the effects of the Israeli aggression on Gaza and the apartheid wall in the West Bank, in addition to the checkpoints closing the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, all in the words of the late Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish, “On this land is what deserves life.”
The Palestinian Federation concluded the video with the participation of most of the cases of international and Arab sports solidarity that the Palestinian cause has received from various athletes since the beginning of the events in the Palestinian occupied territories.
