The Saudi writer Turki Al-Hamad sparked widespread controversy on the Saudi and Arab platforms because of a tweet in which he defended the Israelis after they insulted the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace.
The eighth bulletin – your publication (6/19/2021) continued the interaction with the tweet of praise, in which the manners offended the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and said, “We have and they have good… Do we not have someone who prays against the Jews every Friday? Do we not have someone who says that they will be hidden? Behind the trees of Hurghada? Are we not those who say that they are the descendants of apes and pigs? Are we not those who say that they are cursed until the Day of Judgment? Hatred only breeds hatred, whether from Arabs or Jews.. There is room for everyone.”

Through the hashtag (“Turki al-Hamad offends the Prophet”), activists interacted and described Turki al-Hamad’s words and comparisons as very dangerous. They also invoked previous abuses of Turki al-Hamad against the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and demanded that the concerned authorities hold him accountable for these abuses, as they put it.
Among the interactions came the tweet of Faisal Abu Thinna, who wrote, “The gradual abuse is not just a coincidence, it started with Sahih Al-Bukhari, then now he has reached the master of creation and honored them Muhammad.. He has nothing left but to offend the Creator Almighty..! And you live with them and among them, defend them, and leave us, our religion, our Messenger, and our creed?”
Mishaal Al-Zahid wrote, “The talk and comparison and what was mentioned in the tweet are very dangerous, and in it is a violation of Islamic law, so we say: every time and again and again and repeat your attention” (and he referred to the Saudi Public Prosecution).
And Dr. Samih Ghazal tweeted, “How do you brighten up who in the past month alone killed 64 children and 100 women and demolished thousands of homes on top of their residents? How do you shine the face of those who stole an entire country and expelled its people, practiced racial discrimination, committed war crimes and practiced terrorism on a daily basis? We believe in Moses and do not transgress nor transgress. Half of them are except for what they are described in in the Book of God.. Fear God, O this one.”
And the tweeter Ali Al-Shehri said, “They kill the Palestinians, naturally.. They call the Arabs unnatural. They insult the Prophet (peace be upon him) is normal. We respect their messenger, but we hate their unnatural entity. They threaten to kill the Arabs naturally. !!”.
