According to the law, which was published by the Iraqi parliament, the new law stipulates that a Palestinian resident for 10 years in Iraq will be treated as an Iraqi in rights and duties, with the exception of his obtaining Iraqi nationality, and his participation in the elections, nominating and voting, to preserve his right to return to his homeland.

The Iraqi Council of Representatives discussed in its session, yesterday, Saturday, the Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people, and all parliamentary blocs and the Presidency of the Council unanimously agreed to support and support Palestine in its comprehensive confrontation with the Israeli occupation.
The Council called on all Arab and Islamic peoples and the forces of freedom and justice in the world to stand firmly with the Palestinian right and to provide all forms of support for the State of Palestine and its heroic people.
Parliament also called on the Iraqi government to provide all possible support to Palestine.
Thousands of Palestinians live in Iraq, concentrated in the capital (Baghdad) as well as in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
