This daily reality for some women affects all areas of life, as the constant feeling of exhaustion does not give room to change or develop and show your best as a woman, mother and wife, and it will also be difficult to be passionate about almost anything.
Says Senem Junel writer on “Madiom” ( Medium ) when we feel tired we believe we often need to rest. However, the opposite is often true and we need movement to feel more energetic.
Here are some simple strategies that, if you do regularly, will naturally boost your energy level and mood.
- Stop living in a box
According to author and social coach Tony Robbins, he says on his YouTube channel that the secret to feeling energized is to stop living in a box.
Most people get up in the morning, eat breakfast from the box, go to work in the box of the “car”, use an elevator, do their work on a box, go to the box-room for meetings, and in the evening turn on the box of “TV”.
Although our bodies are capable of performing extraordinary activities, the human body was not created to be lazy, but we hardly use our physical abilities. Our bodies are made for movement, not screens and chairs.
Even simple activities like walking can have a huge impact on our energy level, the more time you spend sitting on the couch, the lazier you become. The more you move, the more energetic you feel.
“Don’t just think outside the box, but also start living outside the box,” says Robbins. Eat natural foods instead of packaged grains. Reduce the time you spend on your phone, laptop, or in front of the TV. Use the stairs instead of the elevator. Meetings, there are dozens of ways to escape box life, all you have to do is start.
- Change your way of thinking
Oftentimes, the tiredness we feel is related to the way we think rather than our physical condition. What do you expect to happen if you constantly tell yourself that you are tired, you will definitely feel tired.
There is no button in the mind that can instantly boost your energy, but deciding to be more active and acknowledging that you are responsible for your condition is the first step to feeling energized. If you change what you believe in, you will automatically change how you feel and do.
- Watch out for mid-day energy runs out
Many people feel drained in the second half of the day, or perhaps after lunch, because we eat the wrong foods for lunch and our bodies need a lot of energy to digest the meals we eat. What you should do is explore your energy level during the day, and try to adapt your daily schedule accordingly. Also, when your energy is running low, there are two things you can do:
- Allow yourself to rest and take a short nap, or do some soothing exercises such as meditation.
- Get your body moving by doing a quick workout in the office or at home because it will replenish your energy. To avoid dry eyes, you should take a break after working in front of a computer screen for a maximum of 30 minutes (German)
- Get rid of the clutter
Feeling energetic and energetic is difficult if you are surrounded by chaos and dust. Physical chaos affects our mental energy. Organizing and arranging gives us a good boost of energy, especially if we suffer from a lack of it.
To take advantage of this, you can start and end your day with a quick organizing session for everything around you, such as arranging and removing used cups, getting rid of clutter and scattered papers, and organizing your to-do list for the day.
- Get rid of chronic dehydration
One of the main causes of fatigue among adults is that they are chronically dehydrated. Although a large part of our bodies is made up of water, many people forget to drink water. They consume drinks that dehydrate their bodies, such as sugary drinks or coffee.
When you feel thirsty and your mouth is dry, this is a sign that you are already dehydrated. Instead, your goal should be to avoid this feeling and drink small amounts of water or sugar-free beverages throughout the day.
To avoid dry eyes, you should take a break after working in front of a computer screen for a maximum of 30 minutes.
- Watch the screen time
Various studies prove that most adults underestimate the time they spend staring at screens. So you have to make sure of the time you actually spend in front of the different screens.
Reducing screen time will help you clear your mind and make time for beneficial activities that increase your energy level. For example, you can do breathing exercises, stretch your body, walk, drink more water, eat fruits and vegetables, or do anything else that helps you feel better rather than worse.
- A good bedtime routine
If you don’t sleep well, you will inevitably get tired, and to make sure you get a good sleep, you should stick to a healthy routine before going to bed.
If you overeat, drink caffeinated drinks, argue with your spouse, or spend the evening watching action movies, you will likely have trouble sleeping. You’ll feel tired in the morning, have to drink a lot of coffee throughout the day to make up for your lack of energy, and then struggle to fall asleep at night again.
What you should do instead is create a proper evening routine that will help you relax before bed, and thus sleep better and feel more energetic when you wake up in the morning.
